[NEW!] Machida Shoten New Menu @ Japan Food Town

Check out our previous post on Machida Shoten when it just opened!

Machida Shoten at Japan Food Town is its first outlet that has opened in Singapore, with 45 outlets in Japan and is famed for its Iekei ramen. Now, Machida Shoten has introduced a number of exclusive items only available at the Singapore outlet, including 2 new ramen, and some side dishes! This time, these dishes are made in a way that it caters to the Singaporean palate, with many of the dishes inspired by Singaporean taste.

Also, you will still be able to customise your ramen by the texture of the noodles (soft, medium, firm), thickness of broth (light, medium, heavy) and saltiness of broth (light, medium, heavy) to your liking.

NEW RAMEN:

  • MISO TONKOTSU RAMEN
    Cost: $14.00

YES! More Iekei ramen! We especially love how rich and flavourful the signature Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen was, and this Miso Tonkotsu Ramen is no exception! Instead of soya sauce, this version uses a blend of red and white miso mixed with tonkotsu soup base. It is then topped with sweet corn, cabbage and a slice of butter for an extra kick! Overall this dish has a pleasantly strong miso taste, and is definitely for those who like the taste of miso or rich broth ramen. If you prefer it to be not too thick, you can opt for lighter broth when ordering. This is an exclusive item only available in Singapore.

  • GARDEN VEGGIE RAMEN
    Cost: $15.00

For health-conscious diners, vegetarians and those who prefer lighter broth, this pure vegetables ramen is just right for you! It consists of 12 different types of fresh veggies, fried garlic oil and a seasoned egg, and the broth is made with 7 types of veggies too! This makes the broth very light in taste and flavour in contrast to the really rich broth of their original Iekei ramen. This is an exclusive item only available in Singapore.

NEW SIDES:

  • SEASONED IBERICO SPARE RIBS
    Cost: 14.00

This spareribs are first boiled until tender and then seasoned with Machida Shoten’s original sweet soya sauce. What is so different from other restaurant’s spareribs is that this is EXTREMELY TENDER and it separates easily from the bone! Definitely one of the best sides Machida Shoten has to offer.
