Patbingsoo Korean Dining House just opened recently at Plaza Singapura B2, at the area encircling the escalator where the previous occupant was an aquarium shop. Now this open dining place offers popular Korean shaved ice desserts with a large range of different interesting toppings, as well as a number of trendy Korean savoury dishes such as ramyeon, rolling cheese, tteokbokki, bibimbap, etc.
Diners will be given an order chit to make your orders while waiting in the queue.
There is also an electronic kiosk for those who want to do a takeaway of bingsoo and quick bites only.
Menu and Pricing:
- BIBIM PATBINGSOO
Don’t be tricked by this dish! It looks like a Bibimbab dish at first glance, but nooo, it is actually Patbingsu disguised as one! Expect it to be sweet instead of savoury. The “sunny side egg” you see there is actually made of vanilla ice cream(egg white) and fresh peach fruit(egg yolk). If you are taking photos of this, make sure to be fast as the “egg” will melt and disfigure itself.. which is what happened to ours that day.
Other ingredients include fruits, jellies, natacoco and pat(red beans) which represents the “vegetables” of the dish. Strawberry sauce is provided separately for additional sweetness and refreshing taste.
- APGUJEONG BINGSOO
This other bingsoo contains shaved ice and tons of cheese ingredients! Cheese cake, cheese wafers cheese powder and waffle-like crumbs with a scoop of vanilla ice cream are the elements used to create this very cheesy dish. An additional cheese sauce is given at the side to be added to the bingsoo. Definitely for cheese lovers!
