Singapore’s most beloved food fair has returned for its 13th edition! Spanning the entire area of expo hall 6 is a whole plethora of food and beverage exhibitions for you to enjoy! With over 150 of these establishments participating in the food fair offering authentic Japanese delicacies to unique Korean desserts, health related products to kitchenwares. Don’t miss this event lasting until the end of this week, 11 September!
BOOTHS TO VISIT (not in any order):
Soobingbing, a Korean fusion dessert restaurant located in Westgate mall has brought their latest dessert craze; the Raindrop Cake to this event! Also, they will be offering waffles with ice cream and drinks too.
For their raindrop cake, you can order the $6.00 version which allows you to choose 2 toppings and one sauce shown below.
- RAINDROP CAKE
The brown sugar sauce and kinako powder complements perfectly with the jelly-like agar, giving it a strong kick of sweetness with a tinge of nutty flavour.
2) KANE MOCHI
Originated from Bangkok, this dessert chain opened its first stall in Bugis+ last year. They will be featuring their their cute mochi ice creams here in the event, and you can either eat it on the spot or bring them home. Also, there is an offer where you can order 3 mochi flavours and 3 churros (from Churros Factory) for a price of $8.00.
Do note that the mochi is served directly from the freezer, so let it thaw a while before eating.

The harmonious combination of soft, chewy mochi with flavourful ice cream results in a sweet and delightful bite-sized dessert. Their recommended thai iced tea flavour tastes just like the drink.
3) CHURROS FACTORY
Manufactured in Singapore, these delectable churros will be on sale in this event right beside Kane Mochi.

Cost: 3 for $5.00, 6 for $8.00

4) KONG GUAN BAU
Kong Guan dumping and pau manufacturer will be offering their special Truffle Mushroom bau in this booth. You can buy their mini bau, dim sum and fan choy in chilled packages or try the steamed ones on site.

The salted egg bau has the original taste of salted yolk sauce in it, while there is a light taste of actual truffle flavour in the truffle bau.

5) JOHOR BAHRU HANDMADE BAU
Famous for their authentic traditional pau recipes, this stall offer a limited edition “Spider Pau” which is well received by the long queue of customers here.

The filling inside consists of chicken, pork and egg, a savoury combo of steamed meat pau.
6) THE KATOSHKA
A pop-up stall in events and carnivals, they offer Russet Fries that are double fried to retain its freshness, topped with premium handcrafted sauces. These fries are made from potatoes sourced from the US, and are seasoned with a mix of herbs and spices to provide a rustic flavour. Alongside Russet Fries, they also offer home brewed teas and flavoured soda drinks.
- DOUBLE FRIED RUSSETS WITH SPECIAL CHEESE
The creamy and tasty cheese complements well with the crispy fried russets. An absolute must for cheese lovers!

8) UYI SAVOURY SQUIDS
UYI savoury squids are here at this event offering their amazing crispy squids and delicious grilled ones. The review of their squids can be found here.
9) HOUSE OF SEAFOOD
HOS (House Of Seafood) offers chilli crab, salted egg crab and their signature black pepper crab all in this event at a discounted price. Crab dishes that cost $28.00 per crab, now cost only $23.80 each! They also offer other dishes such as prawn paste chicken and salted egg chicken.
- OKINAWA PREMIUM PRODUCTS FROM KIN TOWN
Okinawa’s food vendors will be here offering delicious Okinawan cuisine from premium meats to fresh vegetables to yellowfin tunas.
- OKINAWA GELATO
Okinawa Gelato offers some yummy, delicious and sweet gelato with flavours like Shikuwasa (Okinawan Lime), tea, purple sweet potato and lemon yoghurt!
- OKINAWA FRESH TUNA
There will be live cutting demonstration of Yellowfin Tuna here by the Japanese master, so don’t miss it!
