- Uji Matcha Soft Serve

Sencha flavour (Left) and Matcha flavour (Right).
Sencha is a type of green tea popular in Japan and yet not commonly found in Singapore. It brings about an intense taste with a bitter taste, which is different from the typical matcha flavoured ice cream we are used to. Green tea lover will definitely indulge in this unique Sencha ice cream. Furthermore, Sencha contains more antioxidants than matcha. Matcha green tea ice cream can be commonly found in Singapore. However, this is one of the better matcha ice cream that I have eaten as it is perfectly sweet and creamy, yet refreshing.
- Henri Charpentier
Offers Matcha Swiss Rolls and other patisserie.
- Minamoto Kitchoan
Traditional Japanese confectionary for occasions such as tea ceremonies.
- Shimanto Unagi Hanbai
Fresh eel for sale from the clear streams of Kochi Prefecture.
- Potato Kaitsuka

Come down now to Takashimaya B2 Food Hall for their Matcha delights!
Thoughts from the team:
Swee: I love these fairs organised by Takashimaya as they often packed with a wide variety of Japanese shops. From these fairs, I get to learn more about their culture especially the type of food that Japanese eat during different Seasons.
M.K: I love their matcha ice cream, it is so refreshing. Definitely suitable for a warm and humid country like Singapore.
John Smith: Japanese is my 3rd language and having to experience these fairs allow me love the culture more. I love the Sencha ice cream. In Japan, there are more types of green tea ice cream. Hopefully, #takashimaya will be able to bring in more of such variations of green tea ice cream.
