Tokutokuya has been around since 2 years ago, with outlets at Changi City Point and Leisure Park Kallang. This store is similar to Daiso stores except that this has more interesting items, and a whole lot more variety of food. A new outlet has opened recently in Ang Mo Kio Town area on the second level of the Big Mac Centre, so now central and north siders can pay a visit to this awesome Japanese store! Note: All items are $2.00 each, unless otherwise stated.
‼️NOTE: The AMK and leisure park kallang branch are now no longer under Tokutokuya, but instead its under Mijyi. Some item sections have changed, but otherwise the pricing still remains quite the same.
Tokutokuya Changi city point is still available.
With this large banner facing the main road, there should be no problem in locating the store which is hidden in this corner of the building. For those walking from Ang Mo Kio MRT, walk through Amk Hub until you see a building with MacDonald’s on the ground floor and an S11 beside it. You can take the lift that is at S11, or walk round the left side of the building until you see the large signboard.
This is a video rundown of the store:
The area inside is huge, with rows and rows of items ranging from kitchen accessories to Japanese snacks!

- DRINKS SECTION (CHILLED)
Quenching thirst has never been so adventurous, for you can explore Japan’s variety of drinks all from these 2 refrigerators and the shelf right beside.
They also offer these Ramune drinks, and we bought one to try.
- DRINKS SECTION (UNCHILLED)
- CHOCOLATE AND RAMUNE
The ramune drink is a rather special type of drink from Japan. It has a distinctive design to it – the bottle is made of glass and is sealed with a marble on the top. The pressure of the carbonation from the drink holds the marble in place, therefore you need to push the marble inward with the special cap. A considerable amount of force is needed to push it in, so you may want to do it inside a plastic bag to avoid messing up the place.
- WINTER WEAR
Colourful winter socks and gloves
- ART AND CRAFTS
- INSULATOR BAGS
Insulated bags of various sizes for keeping your items warm or chilled, available in these stores.
- ZIPLOCK BAGS
Those who need ziplock bags, especially people serving in the army can get these here for only $2.00.
Thoughts from the team:
Swee: I love this place, an alternative to daiso. They have a wide variety of unique snacks and drinks which cannot be found from NTUC.
M.K: The workers in this shop are knowledgeable and courteous. I had some difficulty opening the ramune drink, and request the cashier to help me with it; She just rush over to help me despite of the long queue.
John Smith: This place is like a heaven to me. It has an amazingly wide variety of food and drinks imported from Japan. On top of that, I can get random things like insulator and Ziplock bag for just $2.
