Inaniwa Yosuke’s udon has a 150 year old unchanged handmade tradition, and it takes 3 days for artisans to produce the final product from its base ingredients. With such dedication and hard work placed into the udon, no wonder it is one of the top 3 type of udon that can be found in Japan. The best thing is: we do not need to travel to Japan to eat such high quality type of udon, instead this restaurant just brought its authentic udon over to Singapore in Japan Food Town! This restaurant serves these traditional handmade thin udon in hot soup style and chilled style, accompanied with tempuras or tendon.
THE MENU AND PRICING
- TENDON SET (SEIRO)
Comes with a bunch of chilled udon with 1 dipping sauce and a bowl of tendon, this set meal will definitely satisfy your palate. The thin udon is extremely smooth, soft and chewy in texture, and when dipped with light shoyu sauce, each slurp of the udon brings forth a wave of refreshing and light feeling in the mouth. Those tempuras atop the rice has a consistent crispy batter, with soft and fresh ingredients inside. Dipped with tempura sauce, the tempuras soak up the sauce to create a crispy and umami taste that is not overly salty. The small vegetables that can be found with the tendon is very tasty and well flavoured with seasonings.

Cold Udon Rating
- TEMPURA AND UDON (HOT)
This warm version of the thin udon comes with soup and some tempuras with sauce. The udon is equally smooth and slippery, but this version provides a warm and relaxing feel. The tempuras are similar to the ones in the previous set.
Hot Udon Rating
Their udon is one of the top 3 type of udon in Japan, and it is a refreshing and healthy food that pairs well with other Japanese food such as tempuras. A rather casual restaurant, this place is good for those who want to take a rest and have a refreshing meal after a long walk around Orchard Road.
