THE SOBA
  • HOT SPICY SOY MILK CHICKEN SOBA

Containing boiled chicken and a scoop of spicy minced meat together with soybean miso soup which looks milky white, this bowl of soba tastes light and feels not too greasy. The spiciness is mild, giving off a nice fragrance that stays in the mouth for a while. Chicken when boiled is a healthy choice for this dish, and it absorbs the taste from the soup which gives it a delicious flavour. Slurping on the thin, slippery and easy to chew buckwheat soba helps cool down the hot noodles and enhances the flavour of the dish.

Thoughts from the team:
Swee: The miso soup isn’t very thick, the flavour from the mixture of ingredients is great.
MT: Soup is nice and milky, it tastes fantastic with the aromatic minced meat.
John Smith: Not too spicy, people with lower spicy tolerance are able to enjoy.

  • COLD TOMATO SOBA

Cold and yet refreshing, this dish is suitable for health conscious people. No meat is added to the bowl, it just comes with a bunch of fresh sliced tomatoes, some yuzu bits on the top and the cold dashi soup with cold soba. Simple yet aromatic and delicious, the soup has the essence of citrus from the yuzu and the sweetness of the tomatoes. The soba is similar in texture to the above dish.

Thoughts from the team:
Swee: I really love how this soba is so cooling with nice mild flavour.
MT: This soba is a healthy choice for people who likes to eat clean, and it tastes great too.
John Smith: The cold soup is refreshing with the tomato taste and is thirst quenching. Great meal for the hot weather.

  • OYAKO DON SET

Oyako Don Set

The Oyako Don Set is one of the several choices of soba sets at Yomoda Soba. This set comes with the soba noodles, soup, an omelette and chicken don, and garnishes. The soba is well-cooked giving it springy texture, it is fragrant and after dipping it with the cold soup, tastes nicely salted and refreshing. The oyako don has quite a great portion, its like having another meal, it tastes pretty good for sides.

Thoughts from the team:

Swee: Best in both worlds, you get to try don and soba at the same time. Yummy!

M.K: Simply delicious and worth your money.

John Smith: This set can be shared between two person as the portion is very generous!!

Overall, the staff is patient and friendly. The place is an open restaurant just next to the Food Court, therefore the nearby area is bustling with people and filled with chattering. Food here is on the healthy side, they provide refreshing meals which is perfect for those who need a break after a long day.
