A Singapore fast food joint located just opposite McDonald’s in the depths of Punggol Waterway Point, this outlet is eager to challenge the mega-franchise with its own set of burger menu. Founded locally, Burger Up has an electronic ordering system similar to that of McDonald’s, and is able to allow customers to customise the burger. Burger Up has more menu choices than that of McDonald’s and they do have interesting burgers and sides. There is another outlet situated at Yishun 10 Complex.

- CRANBERRY CHICKEN SUPREME BURGER
Coming from the Supreme Meal menu, this large burger is served in a different manner than the usual Combo meals. Without the wrapping, it comes on a squarish plate with the sides – fried round breaded balls containing a piece of button mushroom each. The ham and patty are very soft and juicy, the combo with cranberry jam makes it even more delicious with a sweet yet refreshing touch. The mushrooms in the fried balls still retains its temperature, and it tastes savoury with all the juice produced from the mushroom.
Cost: $11.30(burger set), +$2.00 for the choice of fried mushrooms.
- YUAN YANG BURGER
Combination of chicken and beef patty, this mouth-watering burger has the best of both meats! Together with a piece of fried egg, each bite of the burger feels so juicy, delicious and meaty. It comes in an aluminium foil like wrap, which becomes a bit of a mess when you use it to hold and eat the burger. Awesome choice for meat lovers! Meal comes with choice of drinks and sides.
Cost: $9.30 (burger set)
- FISH WITH DOUBLE CHEESE & HAM BURGER
The fried fish is rather crispy and has a strong flavour to it. The melted cheese and ham goes so well with the fried fish fillet, that it is a must try burger at Burger Up. Meal comes with choice of drinks and sides. The fries that accompanies all these burgers are the long thin type of fries.
Cost: $8.30 (burger set)
Overall, the food is special and great, and they also offer the choice of customising pre-formulated burgers or build one yourself. The setting is similar to many of the common fast food chains out there, so expect the hustle-bustle around.
